Larin Harp is a ceramicist from Austin, Texas. Harp’s favorite subjects are cars, airplanes, trains, and the occasional boat. Harp—who has autism, is deaf, and has only pinhole vision—communicates through tactile signing, a form of sign language. His work is often based on his memories before he lost his vision; he also creates work by studying a vehicle, down to its individual dings and dents, by hand. Larin works out of Imagine Art, an inclusive art studio in East Austin. SAGE represented Larin at his debut at New York City’s Outsider Art Fair in 2020.
