Emily Dodson (b. 1980) learned to paint alongside her artist mother. She has a distinct point of view as an artist, creating work that is vibrant, imaginative, joyful, and full of bold colors. She populates her work with a variety of whimsical creatures—flying pigs, skydiving frogs—and the very occasional human figure. Although she is especially adept at working with acrylics and pastels, she is always open to experimenting with new mediums.
