Yesenia Duran (b. 1999) is an Austin-based artist whose practice focuses on members of the animal kingdom. Pulling inspiration from nature guides, Yesenia creates encyclopedic collections of drawings chronicling a wide variety of species. She uses both drawing and text to create detailed and informative work. When she's not in the studio, Yesenia enjoys spending time outside and has recently begun raising and releasing Monarch butterflies.
